Block a specific instalation on yum/yumex. There's how do this?

Hello pals. My soundboard don't works very well with pulse audio. But, every update I should take care that pulse-audio wont be installed again

there's some way of block pulseaudio of been installed?

It annoys me, cause sometimes I'll listen music and, there's again PE. unistall, reboot, and starts again untill next update

You can add the following line to /etc/yum.conf

exclude=pulseaudio*

wow.... and.... what exactly this line does? and...... every update that requires PA won't be installed? or just PA that don't

on yum.conf or should have a line to yumex to?

This line tells yum to exclude (don't update) any package updates to packages that start with pulseaudio.
I am not sure about yumex as I haven't used it in years.

yumex uses the yum.conf file so putting the exclude in /etc/yum.conf will fix yumex too
