The welcome screen is quite nice - giving an option to try the OS live or Install - like in Ubuntu live CDs.

The required RAM is lower than 768 MB. Anaconda launches fine with 512 MB RAM on a Virtualbox.

Why does it ask to reboot when exiting the installer midway through the installation?! Is it supposed to that?

There seems to be some error in installing the bootloader. I am trying this on a virtual machine. The installation proceeds normally till it reaches "Installing bootloader" stage where it complains "There was some error installing bootloader. The system might not be able to boot". I will post more information on this soon. Here is a screenshot.

are you using Virtualbox? what VM are you using?

I tried the CD version and everything is fine with installation. But recently I 've been noticing dependency issues. for ex. k3b.
Shutdown issues are solved right now. the overall feeling about this f17 release is buggy.

I am using VirtualBox on a F17 laptop installed using DVD of TC2. Everything is fine with this one. But, I cannot get the installation done on Virtualbox using TC3 live CD.

Did you install directly to the system or on a Virtual machine?

The shutdown, to me, seems to be solved spectacularly. it takes 2-3 seconds for shutdown now.

no point filing a bug if your using Virtualbox, im sure AdamW said it or whoever else said it on the devel list? that they only except Bugs from people using the Opensource VM's. not Virtualbox. as the Bug you have found coyuld well be a Bug in VBox itself. redhat/fedora devs have no control ovewr fixing Vbox's bugs

Yeah, I remember AdamW saying that here once. I am going to try and install it to Fedora's Virt Machine as a KVM (or qemu?) and see if that works. If it doesn't I will file a bug against this.

Based on hadrons input, it looks like it will install fine on the computer directly...

Problem persists when trying to install as KVM on Virt-Manager. See attached picture. Will file a bug report after dinner!
