Turning Wireless Off in Network Settings turns it off in BIOS

After installing F17, I noticed that when I turned the WiFi off via the network settings menu, or when I turned on the Airplane Mode, it actually turns of the WiFi in the bios.

As a result, the only way to turn Wireless back on is by rebooting, going in the BIOS en enabling it again.

Although it is not a productivity killing bug, it is kind of annoying.

Hardware involved is an Asus EEEpc 904HA with an Archeros WiFi chip.
