London area Digital Switch Over (DSO) and Kaffeine Channel Rescan (HowTo)

The London area went digital today, the 70 year analogue tv signal was turned off at the historic Crystal Palace transmitter:

This means all digital tv receivers have to be retuned, and unfortunatly the kaffeine scan file is not up to date, so until an update appears you can manually edit ~/.kde/share/apps/kaffeine/scanfile.dvb to this:

Code:
...
[dvb-t/uk-CrystalPalace]
T 482000000 8MHz 3/4 NONE QAM64 8k 1/32 NONE
T 490000000 8MHz 2/3 NONE QAM64 8k 1/32 NONE
T 506000000 8MHz 3/4 NONE QAM64 8k 1/32 NONE
T 514000000 8MHz 2/3 NONE QAM64 8k 1/32 NONE
T 529800000 8MHz 3/4 NONE QAM64 8k 1/32 NONE
...
there is a HD mux as well but won't work with standard dvb receivers, see here for full details http://www.ukfree.tv/txdetail.php?a=TQ339712

Then rescan via the Television - > Channels dialog

(Note that this assumes you have selected uk-CrystalPalace as your terrestial scan source in Television -> Configure Television -> Device 1 (tab) -> Source)
