F17 slow mirror speeds

I tried the alpha f17 and the rc4 f17, both gives very slow connection speeds with fedora mirrors. Its 5-10 times slower than my routine speed.I have a broadcom BCM 5787M ethernet card . my debian sid is working very good on the same computer. Is there a bug in networkmanager, how is everything working for others?
