Re: Screenlets repo

You are talking about GNOME screenlets rights? these? I don't think these are going to work with GNOME 3.x - at least as far as I know.

Re: Screenlets repo

The rpm linked works ok here with cinnamon or gnome-shell as long as you use nautilus to draw the desktop.

Code:
su
yum --nogpgcheck install http://www.linux-ati-drivers.homecall.co.uk/screenlets/screenlets-0.1.2-8.fc16.noarch.rpm

Screenlets work quite fine on GNOME3, KDE, LXDE etc, probably also XFCE (haven't tried that one). However, I don't have a repository for you, but you can package it yourself.

By now Screenlets is actively packaged only for Ubuntu (up to version 0.1.6 in Ubuntu repos). There was once some automatic packaging for SUSE build system, one can pick it up, you can find it by googleing "universal-applets pkg-scripts".

Thanks for the info. I tried some of the screenlets once (I think in GNOME 3.0/F15) and I had a bad time. I will check it out again sometime.

It seems Screenlets have been packaged for Arch Linux couple of weeks ago. So I presume some apparent Ubuntu specific hacks in the code shouldn't be an obstacle for running Screenlets on other systems.
