How to scan remotely?

Hi there. I have a network multi-function printer/scanner/fax thing, a Samsung SCX4623FN.
Using Fedora 16 or 17, I can print fine to this remote printer, but sane does not find the remote scanner..
I was wondering if there is a way to get the scanner working remotely?

Thanks, -turgut
