Re: reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot device and press a key
What happens when you try to select a boot device? When the computer starts up, press F12 or Delete key (depends on your computer). You should get a list of boot devices. Select your HDD. It is possible that your computer is not trying to boot from your hard disk (strange).

Re: reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot device and press a key
You mean you are unable to boot in to your OS from your hard disk anymore? Are you getting anything at all? Are you able to access BIOS settings?

Re: reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot device and press a key
I am still getting this message: reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot device and press a key
Yes, i am able to get to the BIOS. once in there, i went to boot order option and this what how it had:
1st boot device: EFI Device
2nd boot device: Hard disk: WDC WD10...
3rd boot device: CD&DVD: ATAPI
4th boot device: removable media
5th boot device: LAN
I changed the 2nd one for be the 1st one and still does not work. any other suggestions?

Could you please post the error message? Are you able to boot from a CD though?
