Hi guys,
Long time no upgrade so I did it the fun way.
yum upgrade
It took 4 or 5 passes at the deps inssues but they were all minor just confusing because a deps needed by a fc15 pakage was not in fc16 repos.
A little prunning and the low level deps burst loose, then yum for libreoffice got half of the mix, finally some old Gnome conflicks and then Gnome and the apps come down.
Some of the packages were net-snmp, hplip, php-zts, Gnome-power?, Gnome-screensaver, ...
The logon would not get pass the Oh No! screen but another reboot made it go away completly, hope.
Oh selinux-policy packages threw a fix and wrote errors and what looked like ipv6 addresses all over the screen, by sestatus showed it ok.
So to be sure I did a yum reinstall on all of the packages and that time they ran good.
Can hardly wait to install a new kerenl and see what grub2 thinks he is supposed to be doing?
Need to get a few more updates in before the wireless has to go back home.
later,
SJ
