All previous kernels have worked just fine with Leigh's guide and the akmod-nvidias, however with the new kernel, it just hangs and 'startx' reveals:

Most strange since the right kernel-headers, kernel-devel, kernel, kmod-nvidia and akmod-nvidia are present. And, after 24 hours, looks like I'm the only one with this glitch! The previous kernels continue to load properly, thank goodness.
Anyone got a clue?
