Help: Touchpad stopped working.

Hi All,

Loving F15, huge improvement on 14 now using it as my primary OS. Today I'm ashamed to say I let my Vostro 3500's battery flatline. On charge everything was fine except the touchpad was no longer detected. USB mouse works fine and the 'Mouse and touchpad' settings no longer show a touchpad tab. Touchpad works fine on the same machine with the F15 live CD (*Phew* hardware not broken) so I imagine it's possible to convince the OS it has a touchpad again?

I'm having the same issue.

Initially it was intermittently there and not there. For me it seems to have taken place about February time this year?

I yum reinstalled the synaptic's driver for X11 but I think it is a kernel issue as it does not seem to load even at first boot either.

Did you get anywhere with your issue?

One other thing I now seem a lot of irq 17 enabled, disabled messages in my logs and this seems to relate to a USB device so I am wondering if it is related to the whole issue?
