Re: Items doesn't appear in the Trash
Maybe you should tell us what happened when you tried to trace a 'trashed' file. Where does it end up? Did you find it?
We can't see the machine you're working on, so you have to provide information for us to attempt to solve this. We can't guess without your help.

Re: Items doesn't appear in the Trash
Okay, I'm assuming that the issue of how to trash files in the first place is sorted. Let's see how you're checking the trash. The first attached screen-shot shows what the trash should look like with a file in it. It's called "Wastebasket" in the side-bar on my system rather than "Trash", but the icon should be obvious. Is this the trash folder that is empty for you?
If it is, try looking manually. To do that, tell the file manager to show hidden files by clicking View->Show Hidden Files (see second screen-shot). Then click the folder icons for ".local", "share", "Trash", and "files" (see the last screen-shot). Do you see your trashed files there?

Yes, it's empty. I did what you asked and I didn't see anything also. The only way to delete a file which I don't see's to click unmount in the patition then to click Empty Trash.

Re: Items doesn't appear in the Trash
You may be searching for "trash" instead of "Trash". Try "locate Trash" and see if your dumped .jpg, gif, txt or whatever "test" document you trash ends up in /home/sherif/.local/share/Trash/files
If not there, is there any other "Trash" that may contain them? For instance, if I type "locate Trash", I see the correct files, but also some .thunderbird and a KDE entry. The idea is that the files have to be going somewhere or the system would tell you that it wasn't able to move them, so if not in /home/sherif/.local/share/Trash/files, then....where?

It's solved in Fedora 17. Thanks all for your help.
