open a file default application

Dear friends,
I want to open a agr file by default with xmgrace.
Code:
file phase.agr
phase.agr: Grace project file (version 5.01.22)
But the "open with other applications" does not include that. How I can add this?
I also tried to include a line in mimeapps.list as
Code:
text/x-agr=fedora-xmgrace.desktop;
I dont know how it works, just copied as other line, but with no help.

Re: open a file default application

Right click the file, go for properties.
There's a textfield: "open with" and a dropdown menu next to it, you may select the default application there.

Hope this helps.
