Re: Fedora17 Test Compose 2 Released
So since I am new to Fedora and have been running the Alpha, which is running well, I have a question. What is the difference in the Beta's compared to upgrading the alpha via yum? Thanks!

you may get a Anaconda fix with a TC or RC or Beta or Foma; Release but as long as you stay up to date from the alpha you dont need to reinstall

Re: Fedora17 Test Compose 2 Released
I'd download the deltaiso and apply it to TC1. Saves a lot of download time.
Code:
yum install deltaiso
applydeltaiso oldiso deltaiso newiso

Re: Fedora17 Test Compose 2 Released
And before anyone asks, yes, we know that TC2 DVD acts like a network install ISO (doesn't install packages from itself).

Re: Fedora17 Test Compose 2 Released
Loaded the ISO, graphics performance was terrible. Decided that I'd better not install it.
I have a RadeonHD 5670 and loaded the KDE spin.

Re: Fedora17 Test Compose 2 Released
TC2 was using a kernel with debugging enabled, which is know to cause pretty sluggish graphical performance.
If you're interested, you could try http://adamwill.fedorapeople.org/fir...319-x86_64.iso - it's an image I built for a different purpose, but it happens to have a production not debug kernel. It's GNOME not KDE, though.

With all due respect. I think I'll wait for something newer to be built with KDE. Thanks for mentioning the debug kernel though. I'll try another ISO if a TC3 or the Beta itself turn up.

there may not be a TC3. looks like they'll go straight to a RC of the beta
