Re: How to remove draftSight package

No, no question there just reports the message.

fsck -a gives me the following warning, is it ok to go for it?

Code:
fsck from util-linux 2.20.1
/dev/mapper/vg_thinkpad_x200-lv_root is mounted.

WARNING!!! The filesystem is mounted. If you continue you ***WILL***
cause ***SEVERE*** filesystem damage.

No, there's no question there just states that.

When I do fsck -a

it warns off that I " WILL cause ***SEVERE*** filesysstem damage "
is this the command I go for?

when I say no to the first option "root"
it takes me to /dev/sda3 maybe this is the option that I need ?

No.. don't go for it. You shouldn't try to run fsck on a mounted file system. Boot the Live CD you installed with and run the fsck command on the root "/" partition partition from there (probably /dev/sda3 as you say.

Re: How to remove draftSight package

Damn it, I installed from a pen drive!

Just a hunch, I have skipped this issue many times before and I never had a single problem related to fsck.

I thought there might be something else I can do to undo or manage the the iscsi issue I posted before.

Re: How to remove draftSight package

I will try , I will get the package and put it on the flash drive. I have to use another computer, so I have to get it again. I will post the results. Thanks for taking your time off.

I successfully logged in. I dont know what happened, I have access the data but cannot copy it to a flash drive, I cannot do any yum commands ( constantly says the yum is locked by another app) I cant reboot/shutdown as before it complains that plymouth power-off service cannot access something. Big problem.

Re: How to remove draftSight package

From the hdd, logged in.

What it does, it just proves the warning and error messages along the way.

Unable to login/reboot/shutdown/ as plymouth manager of some sort is not working

Cant write any file to a pen drive/ nor can i open the pen drive for reading as it
says that dbus is already pending the operation but nothing really happens.

Cannot get to yum reinstall/install/remove anything as I might need to reinstall my dracut package , etc.

However I have internet, can read my files can open eclipse can work with php/apache mysql.

This, so stupid!

i have restarted my pc ~ 30 times from the switch is it bad for it, apart from being bad for the software part of things ?
