Login authentication failure

I have fedora 16 installed
When i am trying to login from gui it shows authentication failure
When tried to login from terminal using ctrl+alt+f2 it is login succesfully to terminal
than added a new user from terminal and tried to login graphically with newly user created it succesfully

Can anyone tell why i am not able to login graphically from old account when i can login from it into terminal ?
Can steps to fix this problem ?
