There is practically no information in your post to help you with. Could you provide more information on what is actually broken? What computer you are using? etc.

What do you mean by this? If you are asking about running windows 7 software on Fedora directly, it is not possible unless you use something like Wine. But, again, more information needed before anyone can give some helpful information ....

Re: problem

Yes there is a task manager.. go to acticvities (upper left corner) and start typing "task". That should bring up an icon of the task manager you can click on it.

And about the other thing, visit:

Re: problem

The only task manager I show when entering "task" in the search box from the overview (as sea mentions above) is lxtask, which is not installed by default Lxtask is a fairly easy to use task manager, though. You can install it if you wish.

open your add/remove software and check lxtask and install, or from a terminal

Code:
su -
(root password)

yum install lxtask
Then it should show up in the search as sea mentions above when you search for "task"

Re: problem

Uhm ok thats weird.
Browse the applications, section "System tools" and look for Task Manager (icon is a square with green 'lines').
If its not there, you might need to install it with:

Code:
sudo yum install lxtask
Couldnt find the gnome one.

Re: problem

I think the gnome "equivalent" is shown as system monitor, not task manager.
