Yum exclusion list ?

Is ther a way to stop Yum from offering a certain package for installation. I've read the man page & have visited the Yum website.
I want to "blacklist" Kmod-nvidia" (any version).
in /etc/yum.conf i've tried the following:
-x Kmod-nvidia
Exclude=Kmod-nvidia
--Exclude=Kmod-nvidia
Kmod-nvidia -x
Kmod-nvidia=Exclude

thanks for the help - if any

Re: Yum exclusion list ?

In /etc/yum.conf, try adding:
Code:
exclude=kmod-nvidia
I'm pretty sure there are no caps in kmod-nvidia or exclude.

Re: Yum exclusion list ?

You'll need to do:
Code:
exclude=kmod-nvidia* kernel*
Otherwise, if you update a kernel without updating the kmod-nvidia along with the kernel, you'll bust your video.
