Lightbulb How to Contribute to Fedora

Heyas

As we see posts that ask how to contribute to Fedora, but never really get answered completly, i thought i document the steps i've doing on the way to start contributing.
Feel free to correct me on either misleading or wrong info i post, as thats just my experience.

Introduction:
I've joined Fedeora the day after F15 (Lovelock) was released, and want to share my experiences, and things i've learned since then with the Linux Community.
For that reason i've started the script collection, to give something back to the community.
In one post someone said i shouldnt do such bling-bling scripts but something real.
Well, you got me, i'm heading towards something 'real', this thread will document the steps required to get involved in a project.
Basic Info:
FedoraForum.org is NOT related with FedoraProject.org.
Fedora is RedHat based, thus, its bugzilla.redhat.com.

So starting from this Forum you're going to use these accounts:
* FedoraForum (thought, the forum is not where the dev's communitcate)
* IRC
* FAS
* Bugzilla.RedHat
Preparation:
Email
Decide which email adress you'll be using. This is will be used for FOSS. So relativly open, thus i've chosen to use my gmail, as that one's be scanned anyway
Further, i can see things i get on gmail on my HTC with Android, so it isnt such a bad choice either.
IRC:
We will need an IRC client, i havent figured out one that plaeses me... GUI: XChat, CLI: epic, ninja
Make sure you created an IRC account, either previous or mainwhile with your FAS account, so you can provide a VALID irc-nickname to your FAS registration.
FAS (Fedora Account Service)
We will need a FAS (Fedora Account Service) account.
You must provide your country and a valid phonenumber to order to complete registration successfully.
Registration:
Required:
* Create a FAS account on https://admin.fedoraproject.org/accounts/user/new
* Further, create a Bugzilla account, in order to keep track of issues with your project: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/createaccount.cgi (It is suggest to use the same email adress as for FAS)
Optional:
If you havent got an IRC account at freenode yet, you might create one now. http://freenode.net/

I'm registred what now?
* Join a Mail lists
* Join a Group
* Join community on IRC, read info
Guide done for the moment.
Next update in about 1 month, when i've made some more experiences.
