Re: Cinnamon guide for F16 (gnomes-hell replacement)
Nice timing, Leigh. I just rebooted after installing your koji rpm. I like it so far! I do miss the nice system monitor I had working in gnome shell, though. But I like having the overview, which was missing with the frippery extensions. Do you think it has a shot at getting accepted as an official Fedora package?

Re: Cinnamon guide for F16 (gnomes-hell replacement)
Dan, you'll need to tweak org > cinnamon > [ favorite-apps and panel-launchers ] with dconf-editor to get them working correctly. There's no gnome-documents.desktop in Fedora, and firefox.desktop is preceded by 'mozilla-'. Also, gnome-tweak-tool doesn't control the cinnamon window theme. You need to set it in gconf-editor at desktop > cinnamon > windows > theme and then do the alt-f2 r thing.

OK. The themeing in cinnamon is done in overlay where the applications would have been in G-shell. It only reads what's in /usr/share/themes, though.

Re: Cinnamon guide for F16 (gnomes-hell replacement)
So, how's it feel being the hero to a few hundred thousand frustrated Gnome3 users?
Nice work, Leigh. Excellent option and I'm sure it's only going to get better.

Re: Cinnamon guide for F16 (gnomes-hell replacement)
Dang. Might have spoken too soon, Leigh. It worked fine in the Fukushima ... until I updated, (or rather, de-updated pygobject3) and logged out, then tried to log back in. Now it craters at the GFFOD, and makes you log out. Lather, rinse, repeat. <.. ..>

Re: Cinnamon guide for F16 (gnomes-hell replacement)
Not so much of an update, as a de-update. The Fukushima had the bad pygobject3 update.
Looking for anything in the xsession file. ...
