Tablet PC

Hey folks,
i wanted to buy myself a tablet PC mostly for writing down lectures, hence it should be able to recognize a pen (and not only fingers) . Because i don't have that much money I thought of buying a used one. I found the Thinkpad X200 Tablet which fits quite good in my price category (top limit at about 500 €) and has quite good Linux support.
I wanted to ask you whether anyone knows a Tablet that is in some way superior to the Thinkpad yet still fits into my field of application and is not too expensive (can and most probably has to be used).

Thanks in advance.
