Fedora works perfectly
Hello,
I just wanted to post the fact that my shiny new Toshiba 745-S4320 laptop works absolutely perfectly with Fedora 16. The gentleman at my local Best Buy store even allowed me to boot up to a live CD to make sure it would work before I purchased it.

Re: Fedora works perfectly
Good guy! Of course, since your symbol's reading Ubuntu, maybe not "perfectly"??

Re: Fedora works perfectly
You are still showing ubuntu
And it doesn't matter what is in your profile. That icon is put up there depending upon what your browser useragent string sends when you post that particular post.
So, you used ubuntu to post both of these messages (or you copied your firefox configuration over from your ubuntu install to your fedora install, and it is putting ubuntu in your useragent string in your fedora install.)
I guess this could also happen if you installed Fedora but used the same /home as you did with ubuntu since that is where your firefox config is kept. If you used the same /home as you did with ubuntu, and didn't format it, then you could run into a few problems with some applications that are configured a little differently in Fedora.

Re: Fedora works perfectly
What I like is that BestBuy let you do that. I wish more stores would. I can understand their reluctance of course, they don't know what you might have on a CD/USB, but I have to say that I've found the folks at both BestBuy and Staples to be pretty helpful with stuff like this.

Ok,
Let's see if logging in on the new lappy makes the icon change

Just to clarify, I WAS posting from my desktop, which is running Kubuntu.

Re: Fedora works perfectly
Fedora and CentOS both seem to show up as a generic penguin. This is being posted from Fedora, if the browser for a post of mine shows chrome, it's from home, CentOS.
