Hi,
I'm getting a problem where my laptop freezes every so often (i.e. can't move the mouse, can't alt-tab between windows, can't do anything, music that was playing now plays in a 1-second loop). The cause is difficult to determine - it happens whether or not flash happens to be playing at the time, whether or not I'm playing music, once it happened a few minutes after login when all that was open was pidgin and gedit.
The only way to get out of this is the standard power-cycle (or alt-sysrq-REISUB, if i remember to "echo 1 > /proc/sys/kernel/sysrq", not found out how to make this permanent)
As it's now happened about 50 times now, it's beginning to get rather frustrating. I have an inkling it may be wireless card related (as i used to have to download and install the drivers from Realtek's website, didn't have to do this when i upgraded to F16 a month or so ago), but can't back this up as I don't know where to look for the relevant logs.
If you need more information, or are able to give any help, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Andy
