System hangs or kernel panic if safely remove USB HDD from GNOME Fedora 14

Edit:

I found a solution to the problem. I compiled kernel


[root@localhost jonathon]# uname -r
3.1.6-1.fc14.x86_64

Will upload the rpms to my website some time later.
