nautilus segmentation fault

I am running F16 (kernel 3.1.2-1.fc16.i686) with xfce, but I like to use nautilus. Last week, following a system update, nautilus stopped functioning. The error message is "segmentation fault". I've tried to reinstall nautilus and bash, without benefit.
