Problem With PVM Console

hai friends,
Whenever i try to enter into the PVM console i get the following error.
[root@TCS25 ~]# pvm
libpvm [pid15243] /tmp/pvmd.0: No such file or directory
libpvm [pid15243]: Console: Can't start pvmd
Can anyone help on it..

in your /etc/hosts, dude.

yeap, hash was right, in /etc/hosts it was commented the next line like this:

#127.0.0.1 ubuntuhost

So just uncomment it to:
127.0.0.1 yourhostname

Only by getting rid of the pound sign, I could finally start the pvm
