F16 not smooth visuals

I'm new to Fedora (after using Mint). I've installed the codecs and Nvidia Xserver. I have dual graphics cards.

And yet, Fedora isn't running smoothly. It feels slow and hiccups along the way when I do stuff.

Why is this?

F16 sluggish performance

I've set up my Nvidia Xserver (using EasyLife), so why is F16 so sluggish. SOmething as simple as dragging a window bigger is sticky and hardly smooth.

Any advice? Am I missing something?
