Fedora 14 network share my scanner

I have a HP officejet 5510 printer/fax/scanner that runs fine in fedora 14. However, I would like to share out the scanner portion to my wifes Ubuntu box. I have looked all over the place and cannot find any real answers. All the posts I see are really out of date.

Here's an article from 2007 that I used a few years ago when I did this. It seemed to work good, but I don't do much scanning - so I didn't use it that much. I used it with an HP printer/scanner/copier.

By the way, I did this between two Fedora boxes (but it should work on Ubuntu too).
