How to install Canon Pixma Mx 410 printer on F14

Hi guys!!!

I bought some days ago a canon.. I tried to install and printers goes but scanner doesn't works... can someone help me?

Well, I would say go to the Linux.org site and look around for a printer driver but that site is under construction. And next I would say to do "#yum install cups" but I do not see a canon driver for your machine on the cups web site . But, it's worth a try any way.

Download MX410 series ScanGear MP Ver. 1.70 for Linux (rpm Packagearchive) from the following link. Shouldn't need to login.

After installing, if your experience is like mine (using a different Canon printer), you need to run scangearmp from terminal to bring up Canon's GUI app to scan. I can scan from scangearmp, but not from sane or gimp.
