Integrated microphone not working (and other issues)

I have a problem with my Gateway NV53 laptop (notebook) and his integrated microphone, the thing is that every time i start the machine i have to modify the alsa mixer preferrenses with the comand:

alsamixer -c0 -Vcapture

And set the internal mic volume from 0% to 100%, so the cuestion is, how do i make this changes permanent?

Other thing that is not so urgent is that also when fedora 15 starts my screen start to shine like a sun!, so my other cuestion is
How do i change the default brightness at the start?
