Can't use TV as primary monitor

I tried searching for this before I made a post, but couldn't find anything that was quite in line with my issue. I'm running Fedora 15. I have a Readon HD 4650 with DVI inputs, but I have an adapter for my VGA cable and everything works fine with my normal PC monitor. I just can't figure out how to use my Dynex HD TV as my primary monitor.
