mp3 support

To install full support to mp3 in F15 (both KDE or GNOME3) is sufficient to run this command line?
yum install gstreamer-plugins-bad gstreamer-plugins-ugly gstreamer-ffmpeg.
Or it's necessary to install some other plugins?
Thanks in advance ...

Re: mp3 support

I'm pretty sure you'll also need the rpmfusion plugins. There are several setup guides linked at the top (the yellow link). I pretty much follow the mjmwired version, but in a nutshell, I install the rpmfusion non-free repo then install mplayer. I use it almost entirely from command line, so don't know if that is your cup of tea, but using VLC instead gives a nice GUI player that will handle just about anything you throw at it.

I realize this isn't an exact answer to your question, but to be honest, I've never tried without installing mplayer first.

Re: mp3 support

I already run the rpm repositories and the needed multimedia applications.
My question is about the plugins you need to install for having a complete support to mp3 files ...
This is because I've noticed some minor issues when playing mp3 files on firefox ...

Really I do not like to install autoplus or other similar software, because I think that if you want to learn to use Fedora you must be able to install the software by yourself.
Anyway I'm able to run mp3 files as well and, obviously, I read Mauriat's guide. I just intended to go into it thoroughly ...

As I said earlier I have no problems in running mp3 and I don't need to install this kind of software.
I think that it's better to run the commands by yourself ...
Anyway, just in case, which one is better between easy life and autoplus?
