GTK apps mouse is off in KDE

This is a really, really weird problem.

I am running fedora 15 x64 not-a-spin. I gave gnomeshell a shot and really wanted to like it but it kept breaking my keybindings and the dual head stuff is a disaster, so I installed KDE and KDM.

We use exchange here at work, so I have evolution running. The problem is the mouse is usually just above or below where the pointer is, so I often click on a different control. The hover isn't working either to tip me off to where the mouse really is. This happens in evolution and empathy but not other GTK apps.

I'm not sure if this is a problem with GTK or the dual head or just evolution and empathy.

Anyone run into this and have a solve?
