Asus EEE PC 1000HE

I had Debian installed on Asus and it worked OK.
Since I run Fedora on my other computers I tried to install Fedora 15.
Installation went OK but when reboot -> I get the Fedora logo and then the screen goes black.
I have Atheros for wifi & fast ethernet.
GPU is Intel 945GME.
I can log in with ctrl&alt&fn-key ... what should I check ?
I also tested Ubuntu 11.04 and there was no problem to install & reboot Asus with that distribution.
Appreciate help ... now I have a netbook with no OS ...

I would say to try it again. It works quite well on my machine, which sounds the same as yours. (Though, I've been hearing about Fedora problems with wifi, but it also sounds like something that will be fixed quickly.)

One thing that people miss is that Anaconda (the install program) will, by default, put the boot files on the USB, rather than the hard drive. When you get to the screen about grub, you have to choose (possibly choosing advanced first, I don't remember) change BIOS order (I think--I'm going from memory--but, assuming you installed from USB, just be very careful when you get to the grub install screen, and make sure it isn't putting it on the USB drive, /dev/sdb)

I have also tried it with Fedora 15 LXDE ... still the same problem.
The installation is made from a Live CD hooked to Asus as USB CD drive ... so grub cannot be install at the CD.

I do a minimal install and add X afterwards. I don't use one of the spins or any of the live CDs.

I don't know if any of that helps, but it hasn't given me problems.
