OK, so I used Ubuntu for a very long time, but I like the look of the GNOME shell and am wishing to change to Fedora 15 (beta). I've tried everything: verified the hash, burned to different dvd types etc., but everytime it gets to the actual installing part, it freezes. The little window that says "Preparing installtion..." or whatever comes up, that takes a while to finish and gets slower to the end of that process. Then it gets quarter of the way through the actual installation (sometimes half) and freezes. It's an Acer Aspire T660 upgraded to 1GB of RAM. I had Fedora on that machine before (probably 9) and it worked perfectly. I thought it wasn't the desktop for me so I uninstalled :P
Anyway, all help is appreciated and if you need more information, just ask
EDIT: Seems that it was a download error, even though the hashes match which is really weird. I ran the install in Virtualbox on my Windows 7 machine, said the "disk" has errors. *sigh*.

OK, I've redownloaded. Same thing when I checked it when the installer runs, "This image has errors", yet hashes match. Help? Thanks
