Can't visit any site without being google
I, I'm from Portugal, so my english is weak.
well today a install fedora (dual boot) and i open mozzila and the only site that a can visit is google (btw a can search to, but the links don't open).
I installed google chrome too, mas its the same problem
what problem could that be?

What DNS server are you using? Is it the default from your ISP? If so, you can try a different on, like Google's DNS service.

It sounds like network problem. Can you tell me what does the browser display?? Does the output of netstat -A inet show any thing?? Can you ping to other site??

I tried this 2 option and nothing... can u do me a print on where put the google dns ip 8.8.8.8 and the 8.8.4.4 in the network?

If you are asking where to enter the DNS IP addresses, that would depend on your network. If you are going through a wired or wireless router, you would probably need to enter the DNS in the router's configuration settings. If you are not using a router, then tell us the Fedora version and desktop you are using. Also, I am not sure, but I think some modems (cable or DSL) can be configured for a user specified DNS.

i'm using a ethernet connection with a modem, i got fedora 14 version
with this desktop (attach)

Go to System->Preferences->Network Connections. Click on your network connection, then click edit. Choose the IPv4 Settings tab and choose "Automatic (DHCP) address only", then enter the DNS IP in the space provided.

hi, yep i did that to and didnt worked. today a installed the linux Caixa Magica it's a portugues version of linux and the net worked well but the OS its a little heavy, so a desinstaled it and reenstaled fedora and the net still the same

thanks everybody, the net started work fine automaticaly
fnally the google dns worked, (iwith 8.8.4.4 in dns servers and Google Dns in Id)

Personally I'd use opendns.org DNS's:
208.67.222.222

Personally, I just use the DNS servers that my ISP provides. I tried several that claimed to be lightning fast, but many of the websites I tryed to access would not come up with them, so I just switched back.
