Wallpaper keeps changing after setting new one...?

So I'm in Gnome running Compiz, and every time i go into the wallpaper changer to switch my backgroung, within 30-45 seconds of me changing it, it changes back to some white washed out version of one of the default wallpapers. I can't for the life of me figure out what's going on. any ideas?

I'm having the same issue...tried removing Compiz to no avail. The wallpaper I choose always switches back to the default F14 Gnome background when I switch between workspaces.

So this doesn't happen if you turn Compiz off?

The problem remains even with compiz disabled.

I am also experiencing that problem, it changes back to the F14 background after changing it to another one. Problem persists even after disabling compiz.
