sound is not working on fedora 14 lxde

I installed fedora 14 lxde saturday, loaded about 1/2 the items from the unofficial fedora faq,
and see videos on youtube, but there is no sound. However, the sound works fine on sabayon lxde.

# alsamixer -c 0 -- shows the sound settings are turned up.

What can I do to get the sound working?

Update: The sound is fine in fedora15
