Vino-Server

Hi, I'm running FC3 and access the computer via VNC (saves on monitors). As I understand it vino-server is the vnc server which is fine but what confuses me slightly is that it seems to use up all available cpu time when I'm not connected :S This wouldn't bother me but it seems to slow down the rate at which I can get files off, i.e. streaming video is a little dodgy.
I'm slowly gettin used to linux and thought that a file/download server would be a good way to get into it without wanting to break it into very very small pieces

Thanks

JGG
