Game Controller

I cannot figure out how to get my Xbox 360 USB controller to work in Fedora 14. I think it is recognized, but I cannot map buttons or the d-pad in FakeNES.

Anyone have any suggestions? I really want to play mario, but the keyboard feels so wrong.
