Hi guys
I came from Debian to Fedora a few months ago, because - for some reason - it just worked better than the testing-branch (Lenny, back then). I have a Lenovo T61 and I was suffering for months because of the Intel-graphics bugs. F12 finally solved those problems and it ran so unbelievable smooth. Unfortunately, I noticed some regressions on F13 and F14 and the regarding bug-reports were untouched for more than 6 months.
So I'm currently considering getting Red Hat 6, because AFAIK it it's generally based on F12 and I guess, I can expect "shorter" responses to bug-reports (besides the fact, that the packages are well tested compared to Fedora).
Briefly, my question is, if somebody could confirm my assumption, that RH 6 generally runs smoother and bugs are getting fixed faster? I'm absolutely willing to pay the fees, even more if it supports the further development of Linux, but I need a stable, fast an reliable System and I guess, Fedora is not primarily focusing these goals.
I'd appreciate to hear your experiences. Thank you.
