About RupertPupkin's suggestion to use Emacs: I think it is well known that Stallman himself suffered some kind of crippling finger ailment because of the awkwardness of the keystroke combinations in Emacs, thus providing empirical evidence of the superiority of the VIM model.

At least that's what I read at some VIM-related site. (And yes, I use VIM.)
