idiot guide to ndiswrapper

Hello I am new to linux and ndiswrapper. I am trying to get my belkin f5d7000 pci wireless g card to work with fedora. I am trying to follow directions I have found for ndiswrapper and it isn;t going so well. I can't "make install" nor can I "ln -s /usr/src/linux-<kernel-version> /lib/modules/VERSION/build" which I think would let me "make install". Basically I am looking for a step by step idiots guide to makeing ndiswrapper work for me. I am very new to linux and don't understand much. I have tried following the directions on the sourceforge ndiswrapper site and can't get it to work. Any help or ifyou could point me towards some very detailed installation directions for ndiswrapper it would be very much appreciated. thanks so much. Once I have internet working then I can focus on learning linux.

much appreciated.
