Audio playback too fast in Fedora 9

Hi All

Not sure if it is hardware or software related.
My audio playback (ogg and mp3) plays a bit too fast.
Not quite Alvin and the chipmunks fast but pretty close.

Happens in a variety of players (audacious, rythmbox)
Running a fresh install of Fedora 9.

It seems to be a common issue for intel based audio chip. There are some entries in bugzilla and other threads in this forum, as well on the Fedora users' mailing list.
No known definitive solution yet, though.

Re: Audio playback too fast in Fedora 9

Me too.

All playbacks (video and audio, desktop apps and live streams on Firefox) are running at least at double speed.

Running Fedora 13 - 64 bits - cpu AMD Phenom II X2 955 (dual core) flat, no overclocking, no hacking of any kind.

Any hope?

@moderators: should I cross-post this with the apropriate version of Fedora in a new thread?

thanks!

Yeah. This thread is older than I am. Go ahead and start a new thread, especially since you're using 13 and this one started out as a Fedora 9 issue.

Think I'll move this over to EOL (End Of Life) Versions too.
