I have a similiar problem. When booting it gives me the I/O error. Then it gives me an error for my acctive X. It asks me if it can diagnose the problem but needs the password. How am I supposed to type a password with an input/output error. I am trying to boot Fedora three though. How do you fix the I/O error?? Please help me and PS!
