grsecurity gradm problem [ SOLVED ]

hi everyone,

I wanted to

gpg --verify gradm-2.2.0-201009022049.tar.gz.sig

but unfortunately gpg says it is not a valid openpgp data format and
that one should give a signature file (.asc or .sig.) as the first
argument to gpg. How come it does not see this .sig extension? What can I do about it?
