NFSv4 and the RPC svcgssd-service

I have managed to setup NFSv4 by following different HOW-TOs. But now, every time I start my desktop-computer, that acts as the NFS-server, I get the message that the RPC svcgssd-service failed to start. I have googled around a bit but did'nt find anything about how to either remove the service (not sure it is needed) or to make it start on boot.

"rpcsvrgssd" is the name of the service.

You need it if you are using a gssapi type of authentication (typically Kerberos_ for NFS. Otherwise you don't.
Stop it in and disable it in the system-config-services tool.

I have already tried that, with no result. It seems like the rpcgssd-service restarts itself on each new boot. You don't happen to know any other possible solutions?

Try

Code:
Su
chkconfig --level 12345 rpcsvrgssd off
service rpcsvrgssd stop

Re: NFSv4 and the RPC svcgssd-service

@Leigh123linux

The second command gives me:
Code:
[root@Alcor martin]# service rpcsvcgssd stop
Stänger ner RPC svcgssd:                                   [MISSLYCKADES]
[root@Alcor martin]#
That is "shutting down RPC ... [failed]"
