Baremetal.img, so that i can learn 64 bit Assembly Language...

Folks, How do you install a file that has an img extension to a physical harddrive? I have an extra HDD and would like to use this to learn 64 bit Assembly language on this HDD...

This is where i have the file, el1ip3s01d@Raquel /home/el1ip*/Dow*/Bare*/B*.img

Thaniks for reading.....If my questions doesn't make any sense this should help!
