Asus EEE 1001p: No two finger scrolling or hot keys

I recently upgraded my netbook from an Asus eee 901 to an eee 1001p. In the past I had used a few different distros (mainly Ubuntu and Mandriva) on my 901. However neither of them worked well on the new 1001p.

Someone recommended that I try Fedora on it. I was very impressed - nearly everything worked out of the box. The wireless worked even when running off the live CD!

However, there are two things that don’t work:

1) Hot keys
2) No two-finger scrolling with the Synaptics touchpad (option is greyed out)

If I could get those working I’d be quite happy with it.

Here’s the spec for the 1001p:

Asus Eee PC 1001P
CPU: Intel Atom N450 - 1660 Mhz
Graphics: GMA 3150
Display Size: 10.1" 1024 X 600
RAM: 2048 MB
Hard Disk: 160 GB
