Remnant fc12 ckages in RC3 ?

Upgraded via yum to rc3... Seems I still have a number of old packages from fc12.

Will all those remnant packages be updated with yum to fc13 next week when the final comes out (excuse my ignorance) ?

# yum list installed | grep fc12

Re: Remnant fc12 ckages in RC3 ?

I did a fresh installation of F13 Beta (no upgrade) and also have fc12 packages on my system, so thats not a problem of your upgrade. If you look what available for acpid (the first in your list), this is indeed labelled fc12, so thats not a problem. My understanding is that fc12 is just a lable and nothing else. So either it gets re-labled next week or not, I would say it doesn't really matter. Even if it gets re-labled, it is most likely that the package content doesn't change.

Re: Remnant fc12 ckages in RC3 ?

it means it hasn't been rebuilt since the f12 cycle. That's not necessarily a problem. Some of those may be obsolete packages that have been removed from Fedora in the F13 cycle, also, though again having them installed shouldn't really be a problem.
